Trade Bespoke Shower Screen Installation Case Studies

Project Title:

Sixteen Shower Enclosures Fitted To a Tight Deadline

The Client:

Woolfe Construction, 1-3 Connaught Place, London W2: a prestigious development of multiple apartments commanding an exceptional high end finish.

The Brief:

Showerpower were charged with working around the clock to install over 16 shower enclosures to a tight deadline, as opposed to the usual timeframe of two weeks, working out of hours to ensure completion on timescale so as to successfully fulfil the contract and meet the highest standards.

Selection:

Showerpower and the Vetro range were selected based on:

    • Quality of products and workmanship
    • Unrivalled turnaround
    • Meticulous attention to detail throughout
    • Health and Safety credentials
How it was done:

Works: The project involved a development of nine apartments overlooking Hyde Park. The apartments ranged in price from £1,000,000 to £3,500,000 and Showerpower was selected to supply and install frameless shower enclosures, all of which differed in layout and complexity.
All shower enclosures were measured for and manufactured to very short deadlines rather than the standard two weeks and then installed, many over consecutive weekends.
Special components had to be tracked down to facilitate two unusually awkward layouts and door handles were especially sourced to meet the client’s specific requirements.

Deadline: The work had to be completed to a very strict deadline without fail. Major work was scheduled on completion by other tradesmen meaning the deadline was final and inflexible.
Timings: Arrangements were made to work outside of usual working hours with fitments being carried out throughout weekends if required, so as to avoid preventing other contractors from continuing with their projects.

Outcome & Summary:

All works were completed on deadline allowing the overall project to continue on schedule. The client was exceptionally satisfied with the finished product.

Project Title:

Showerpower Vetro Case Study

The Client:

Opus Living: Dorin Court, St. Georges Hill, Weybridge, Surrey: a new 12,000 square foot new build property.

The Brief:

Fit seven shower enclosures; a steam door; a floor to ceiling screen measuring 2.5m x 2.8m weighing 280kg, two end of bath enclosures with bespoke half height side panels and a recessed enclosure in the basement requiring hinges to be sourced and re-engineered to work for the specific application. The project was required to be completed to a strict deadline.

Selection:

A contract instructed by a respected interior designer; this was won on the basis of our ability to supply materials to a highly specified standard and to fit to unusual requirements; on time and on budget.

Unexepected Obstacles:

Due to external issues with the supply of stone, most of the work could not be finalised until very close to the completion date, requiring the finest detail to be surveyed and the enclosures manufactured and installed within a week. A pressure that was met and dealt with by Showerpower without issue.

Outcome & Summary:

The operation was expertly managed by Showerpower’s long experienced site managers, who utilised their experience and contact network to tackle unforeseen problems head on, ensuring the project was allowed to run smoothly and meet its deadlines.
